Get your juice on.

I recently decided to give juicing a try. I have two friends that juice and they just seem to glow since juicing on the regular. I purchased the Nutribullet and felt like it was Christmas when it arrived. Last night I gathered lots of produce and got to work. Here is my first juice recipe: Handful of kale Handful of blueberries 1/2 a peeled orange 5 strawberries 1/2 a peeled carrot 1 Tsbp. of flax seed The color was a little dark because of the blueberries, but over ice it was delicious! I woke up this morning and made one similar and happily slurped it down on my way to the office. Oddly, I don't feel the need for coffee YET. Fingers crossed. There are tons of health benefits but here are some reason I decided to start juicing. - I don't eat enough veggies and fruit on their own - My jeans are way too tight - Almost halfway to 32, I am noticing things like darker circles, puffy eyes and wrinkles. Juicing is supposed to be a HUGE help with anti-aging. - I am allergic to a lot of raw fruits and veggies and I am hoping that juicing them will allow me to eat them. So far so good with carrots! - My fall schedule is really intense and I can't afford to be tired, I need good, real energy not just a Starbucks fix to get me through the day. - I just broke up with someone and could use a healthy distraction from the fact that yes, I'm still single at 31 and have 3 weddings coming up in the next 2 months. Stay tuned for more in my adventures in juicing and just my adventures in general. xo R
